Annual Dallas Diocese "Awards of Excellence" Nominations Now Open

Brothers,

Nominations are now open for our annual “Awards of Excellence” for the 2023/24 Fraternal Year. There are three award categories:

  • Chaplain of the Year
  • Council of the Year
  • Knight of the Year

Entries are “free-form” with no prescribed forms to fill out. Your entry can be a few paragraphs or a few pages and photos are welcome. The basic guideline is to submit whatever you feel is necessary to demonstrate why your Chaplain, Council or Brother Knight rises above all others in the Diocese and should be recognized as the best!

Nominations should be sent to me at johnfleischer7@gmail.com and the deadline for submission is June 22nd. We have a panel of three Sir Knights who have been in the Dallas Diocese for many years and  who will serve as our judges once again and review all entries. The Award Winners will be recognized at the August Diocesan Kick-Off meeting.

Please take advantage of this opportunity to brag a little bit amongst ourselves and to share the great things that are happening in the Order in the Dallas Diocese. We’ve all got some great stories to tell in all three of these categories and this contest also serves as a learning and sharing opportunity. The first step is sometimes the hardest – getting someone in your Council to commit to doing the write-ups and getting them in by the deadline!

Best of luck to all of you and I’m looking forward to reading some wonderful entries from all across the Diocese once again this year!

The Deadline for Submission is June 22nd

The Award Winners will be recognized at the August Diocesan Kick-Off meeting.
