St. Joseph Wheelchair Sunday

Father Stephen and Brother Knights,

St. Joseph Council #8954 in Richardson, and the Dallas Diocese, held a successful 2nd Wheelchair Sunday over the weekend. Including the $1,400 received before the weekend, they raised $21,502 for 143 wheelchairs.

Since it is estimated that each wheelchair delivered changes and improves an average of 10 lives, 1,430 lives will be impacted. Their funds will go towards providing a large container of 280 wheelchairs for the Mazatlan CRIT Center in Mexico.

There were 8 Our Lady of Guadalupe lithographs given out to donors of $500 or more and lots of donation envelopes handed out. They plan on making this an annual event.

Thank you so much to Fr. Stephen Ingram for his awesome support of this mission and to Brother Rob Mauga for coordinating the event and helping at all 7 Masses. Thanks also to the many Brother Knights that helped and to the St. Joseph parishioners for their kindness and generosity in providing all these wheelchairs for children in need.

God bless all of you.

Blessings,

Brother Bill Weber
Texas Wheelchair Chairman
